NHK is recruiting a Researcher

NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation) is the sole public broadcaster in Japan with 29 offices around the world. NHK Hong Kong Bureau is recruiting a researcher who can support us in covering the news and making feature stories.

The ideal researcher will monitor local news, attend press conferences, court sessions, conduct interviews, and do translating work. He or she will be expected to propose feature story ideas in Hong Kong and greater China, with opportunities to contribute English reports to NHK WORLD, our English channel.

Requirements:
*Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin are essential. Japanese proficiency is preferred but not a must.
*Candidates must have a basic understanding of the government, legislature and judicial system in Hong Kong.
*At least 2 years experience in news gathering is preferred, but young journalists or new graduates will also be considered.
*Good communication skill and be able to get along with diverse personalities is a must.
